During this trimester was very different than the other classes I've taken. When I first started this class, I had no idea what I put myself into. I thought the class it self was supposed to teach you how to take a picture with a camera. I didn't know Photo shop was involved. I had no experience of taking pictures on a camera. I was so used to using my phone to take pictures and adding filters. I had no idea that there was so many settings on a camera until I took this class. I had a horrible time trying to get my camera to zoom in and not make the pictures blurry. Also, when we had to use Photoshop for majority of our assignments, I was struggling with it. It took me a long time to figure it out. As time continued I gradually started getting better at taking photos and navigating Photoshop. I had my struggles with the camera, following directions, and Photoshop. My major struggle was Photoshop. I never used Photoshop before and it took me awhile to complete each assignment. As time continued going by, I gradually started getting better at Photoshop. I learned so many different types of tools to make my photos look so much better than the original. My favorite assignment was taking different types of photos each week. I liked that assignment because I was able to challenge myself week after week with different subjects to take pictures of. Over all I enjoyed this class because it was out of my comfort zone, and something different for a change than my normal classes. I didn't know that I had such a talent of taking photos until this class.

For this assignment, we got to create puns. We used Photoshop to create them. We took images either from our previous assignments from photo assignments or images off the internet and combined them in a canvas. I thought this assignment was very easy because we literary got to create our own puns. It was fun to create a pun that I bet no one can figure out. It also, gave me a review of what each tool is used for to create the assignment.
In this assignment, I decided to do still life. I choose to do this assignment because it was kinda easy and creative to come up with ideas. Also, it was the last assignment for the trimester. I also, wanted to put something important onto this assignment. I thought using a picture of something important would increase my motivation even more in this class. Plus it was also, our last photo assignment of the trimester. I wanted to make this assignment creative/special at the same time. Best photo- NO EDITING NEEDED Shutter Speed: 1/20 Aperture: f/4.0 ISO: 1600 I really like this assignment because I got to use personally items that mean a lot to me. Plus it was hard as well because I couldn't decide which item to use. Also, I wasn't really sure what "Still Life" meant until I did this assignment. I also enjoyed this because I showed some creativity during the assignment.
In this assignment, we got to do our own tutorials. By using Photoshop, we got to create any type of tutorial we wanted to do. Also , we used a short tutorial of Dash of color. Dash of color is basically when you use a photo you already took, turn it into black and white. Finally, you color the main subject you want to pop out. Tutorial links-Use filters to add effects to an image | Adobe Photoshop tutorials Merge and combine images | Adobe Photoshop tutorials Enhance and improve image quality | Adobe Photoshop tutorials I learned many different types of tools to create these pictures. Some of the tools I relearned how to use as well. For example, saturation, and brightness. I learned how to combine two images to create a whole new picture. I also, learned how to change filters on image. I thought this assignment was difficult and fun. Reason being is because you have to follow directions. Also, you get to create anything you want!
In this assignment, I took pictures of food. The best photo I took, turned out really good the composition is all there. The detail is noticeable especially how crispy the tator tots are! Best Photo- NO EDITING NEEDED Shutter Speed: 1/15 Aperture: f/4.0 ISO: 320 I really enjoyed this assignment because I got to take pictures of my favorite food. I thought it was kind of hard taking the pictures the because the light in the kitchen caused some glares. Hopefully for my final assignment, I'll be able to get more better at not making the backgrounds of the main subject so busy. Hopefully, the photos will focus more on the main subject.
In this assignment we used PhotoShop to learn how to create multiple people or multiple objects in one picture. We had to follow step by step to create the multiple me's. I really liked this assignment because I was very creative on the photos I took. I thought this assignment was challenging because I'm still not used to using PhotoShop. I'm still unfamiliar of the tools that are in Photoshop. I learned how to use the lasso tool, masking tool, and photo stack. This assignment was really fun. I recommend it! :)
In this assignment I used pictures I took from the pervious assignments. I did some editing to transform into black and white. I find this assignment really easy because it's literary one button and BAM! It's black and white. Best photo Shutter speed: 1/1600 Aperture: f/5.0 ISO: 800 Black and white editing. I really enjoyed this assignment because all I did was took the pictures I took and edited them. For the next assignment I plan on getting more closer to the subject to get all of the important details. To make the photo stand out even more.
In this assignment, we had to take a picture of the school and transform it into a theme of our choice. By using Photoshop, we got to use the internet to find additional photos to use in our themes. For my theme I decided "Spooky season" since it's very close to Halloween, I might as well make a spooky theme. During the assignment, I learned many different things to create my context photo. I learned a lot of different control buttons. For example, command T is transform. The transform key moves, increases, decrease, and widens the photo. I thought this assignment was hard because there was so many things to remember which was overwhelming. I also had fun creating the school context photo.
In this assignment I took 54 photos of different subjects that has different composition in it. Marco allows to show sharp, close up photos of small or large objects. Best photo Shutter Speed: 1/160 Aperture: f/2.8 ISO: 100 NO EDITING NEEDED. I didn't really like this assignment because it was hard for me to do. I had issues with the camera focusing into the subject I was trying to take a picture of. Plus the sun was causing shadows in some of the other photos I took. Over all I learned to either crank up the ISO more. Or try to block out the shadow as best as I can either using Photoshop or shifting my body to block out the shadows.
In this assignment we learned how to create panoramic photos by using three or more separate photos into one large photo. We also had to follow step by step in order to create the panoramic. I thought this assignment was hard because of each photo has to be almost the same where you left off at. Also, during the photoshoot, if you move, the whole panoramic will come out strange. What I learned in this assignment that taking more than three photos can make a photo more exciting/interesting to see.
